The Pilates Store cares deeply about your privacy. Therefore, we only process data we need for (improving) our services and handle all information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by De Pilates Store. These terms are effective December 8, 2024; once we publish a new version, the previous versions will no longer be valid.
In this privacy policy, you can read what information we collect about you, what we use it for, with whom it may be shared, and under what conditions. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

About data processing
Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it, what security techniques we use and who has access to the data.
Web store software
Shopify
Our online store is developed using Shopify software. Personal data you provide to us for our services is shared with this party. Shopify has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, but will never use your data for other purposes.
Shopify is required to implement appropriate security measures, such as SSL encryption and a strong password policy. They use cookies to collect technical information about your use of the software, but they do not collect or store any personal data through these cookies.
The EU/US Privacy Shield applies, which means your data may be processed in the United States.
Web hosting
NL Hosting
We purchase web hosting and email services from NL Hosting. NL Hosting processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. They may collect metadata about the use of their services, but this is not considered personal data.
NL Hosting has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent the loss and unauthorized use of your data. They do not have access to our mailbox management system; we treat all our email correspondence confidentially.
Payment processors
Klarna
We use Klarna for some of our payments. Klarna processes your name, address, and payment information. They take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.
Klarna may use your data to improve its services and share (anonymized) data with third parties. For credit payments, Klarna assesses your creditworthiness and may share data with credit rating agencies.
MultiSafepay
We also use MultiSafepay to process payments. They process your name, address, and payment details and protect them according to strict security guidelines. They may also share (anonymized) data with third parties to improve their services.
Reviews
WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through WebwinkelKeur. When you leave a review, WebwinkelKeur asks for your name and email address. This information is shared with us so we can link the review to your order.
If we invite you to leave a review, we'll share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. This information will be used solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review.
Shipping and logistics
When you place an order, we need to have your package delivered to you. We use Helder Transport and DB Schenker for this. They use your information solely to complete the delivery. If they use subcontractors, your information will also be shared with these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
Boy
We use Knab for our administrative purposes. We share your name, address, and order details so that invoices can be processed correctly. Knab treats this information confidentially and does not use it for any other purposes.
General purpose of the processing
We use your data exclusively for our services. This means that the use of your data is always directly related to the order you place with us. We never use data for unsolicited marketing.
If we want to use your data for something other than your assignment, we will ask for your permission in advance.
Automatically collected data
Our website automatically collects data such as your IP address, browser, and operating system. This data cannot be traced back to you personally and is used solely to improve our services.
Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations
In certain cases, De Pilates Store may be legally obligated to share data in connection with tax or criminal investigations. If this happens, we will object to this to the extent permitted by law.
Retention periods
We retain your data for as long as you are a customer. If you indicate you no longer wish to use our services, we will delete your data (this is considered a request to be forgotten).
By law, we are required to retain invoices for a longer period; these will be kept for as long as required.
Your rights
Under Dutch and European law, you have rights regarding your personal data. We explain these below.
For each request, we will respond to the email address we have on file, unless you identify yourself and verify a different address.
Right of inspection
You can always request which personal data we process about you.
Right of rectification
You can have your personal data changed.

You can request that we temporarily reduce the processing of your data.
Right to portability
You can have your data transferred to another party.
Right to object
You can object to the processing of your data. If you submit a valid objection, we will immediately stop processing.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to gain insight into how our website is used. Google may combine this data with other data sets. We do not share any personal data.

When other software uses cookies, we will mention that in this privacy policy.
Changes to our privacy policy
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on this page. If changes affect previously collected data, we will notify you by email.
